When it’s just not your week
The good folk of Nine in Queensland don’t seem to be having the best week.
First came the faked chopper live cross. Twice.
And this morning it looks like they failed to get to the police media conference on the fire in Logan.
Or at least Dr Mumbo assumes that was the reason they were rebroadcasting the ABC’s coverage straight to air.
Well I guess at least this was actually ‘live’ this time
The clear desperation of running a TV newsroom and knowing you are about to miss the biggest story of the day/week. What to do? Pinch someone else’s coverage. Who will make the least fuss? ABC.
Very different to the TT ACA kerfuffle. Here the interview was an “all-in” – ie everyone was welcome to film it, and no-one claimed this as an exclusive (as they did for the ACA TT incident).
