White Ribbon appoints Primary Communications to PR account

White Ribbon, the organisation working to end domestic violence, has appointed Primary Communications to its public relations account.

The agency will drive violence prevention campaigns aimed at reducing levels of domestic violence towards women throughout Australia.

Primary Communications will take the messages to schools, workplaces and communities by assisting with White Ribbon’s educational programs.

The agency will also assist in delivering a community wide campaign which will engage men, boys, government leaders and community stakeholders.

Libby Davies, White Ribbon Australia CEO, said in a statement: “We welcome Primary Communication on board to work with us on continuing to focus White Ribbon’s voice, enhancing our advocacy and prevention work and supporting men’s engagement to take action to stop men’s violence against women.”

Jenny Muir, Primary’s chief counsel, said: “We are looking forward to working with White Ribbon to progress raising awareness of the devastating issues surrounding violence against women in Australia. Building a future free from violence and abuse requires diligent and creative campaigns across the community. Primary is proud to join White Ribbon at such a crucial period in Australia’s approach to this issue.”
