Who-reads-URLs-anyway?

Today’s SMH carries the chucklesome story that you can subvert the URLs of UK news website The Independent, if the identifier number at the end of the story is the same.

It led to much social media excitement around the url the ended ”utter-PR-fiction-but-people-love-this-shit-so-fuck-it-lets-just-print-it-2269573.html”, as punters thought it had been created by a disaffected Indie sub.

Clearly a nice tale. You can read it on the SMH website at http://www.smh.com.au/national/the-diary/a-big-day-for-bachelor-boys-20110420-1doth.html.

Or if you prefer, you can also read it at http://www.smh.com.au/national/a-story-lifted-straight-from-the-wires-without-checking-if-it-affects-the-SMH-too-20110420-1doth.html.
