Whybin tops Star Awards


A campaign focussing on “extras” in car insurance has taken out the Grand Prix at tonight’s Australasian Promotional Marketing Association (APMA) Star Awards.

NRMA’s “Car Creation” campaign, produced by Whybin/TBWA topped last night’s awards.

The awards – organsied by The Communications Council – recognise marketing activation agencies.

The APMA Ignite Young Achiever awards were won by Amy Jenkins (30thirty), who was recognised for her work in account management, and Andrej Sikanjic (The Zoo Republic) for his contribution to the agency’s creative department.

Kylie Green was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award after 25 years working in the industry.

APMA Chairman David Lo said: “We have received an extremely high quality of entries this year, demonstrating outstanding creativity. As the industry becomes ever-more integrated, we are also seeing more submissions arriving from areas such as PR and digital.
