Wilkinson PR rebrands with a Woosh

Wilkinson Group MumbrellaWoosh Wilkinson MumbrellaWilkinson PR has today rebranded as Wilkinson Group and launched two new divisions including consumer PR operation, Woosh.

The company was founded by former journalist Peter Wilkinson eight years ago.  

As well as Woosh, its other new business unit – to be headed by Wilkinson – will be Wilkinson Corporate Affairs which will focus on “high level issues management and senior counsel”.

Wilkinson said: “While the heritage of our firm has been in crisis management and media relations, we’ve now developed new specialisations.”

The group has grown in recent months, including the appointment of former Ogilvy staffer Simon Murphy as CEO and Saxon Shirley from Spectrum to lead digital and lifestyle.

Rebekka Thompson-Jones, formerly of Ogilvy and Zing, will head Woosh. Clients include Woolworths, Tiger Airways, Zuji and Earth Hour.
