WiredCo. names four new hires amid revenue growth
Independent agency WiredCo. has announced four new hires after a 70.5% revenue growth.

One of Australia’s fastest-growing independent marketing agencies, WiredCo. has today announced another four new hires after experiencing staggering growth over the last 12 months.
Revenue is up by 70.5% and to coincide with this growth, the team has successfully grown by almost 70%.
In speaking about the growth, founder & managing director, Ange Hampton ironically attributes this to saying ‘no’ this year.
“Part of our purpose of ‘moving humanly’ means saying “no” to unnecessary means of growth. And that has included accepting work that isn’t aligned with our values and participating in competitive pitches.
They’re costly, cumbersome and time-consuming; and to be frank, appointments should be made on chemistry and credentials anyway. It was hard to say no at first but by sticking to our values, we’ve been rewarded in ways we couldn’t have imagined, including record team retention and exceeding our revenue targets by 21% in FY22,” added Ange.
WiredCo.’s recent Recruit your mates initiative has worked so well in finding solid talent, the four new appointments have been made in the last 6 weeks alone. The new hires include Audrey Joseph – creative & content manager, Nelson Elvery-Porter – campaign manager, Dean Fernance – community manager, and Carley Paulsen – social media specialist.
In speaking about the positive impact of saying no, managing partner David Kennedy-Cosgrove says; “Our existing clients liked the fact that we were concentrating on them and not chasing the next big thing. The creative got better and so did the results.
That led to more projects from existing clients and more than a few referrals. Indeed and Georg Jensen gave us their global and regional business, without pitch,” added David.
