Woman’s Day rush-publishes Julia Gillard special
ACP’s Woman’s Day is the latest media outlet to change schedules to cover the rise of Julia Gillard to Prime Minister, bringing out a second edition in a week.
Today’s special edition, on sale in NSW and Victoria, features a “photo tribute” to Gillard. Next week’s national edition of the magazine will be an updated edition of today’s with a new cover.
It is the first time that an edition of Woman’s Day has been published on a Friday.
It follows yesterday’s afternoon editions of Sydney’s Daily Telegraph and the Herald Sun in Melbourne to mark the political drama.
Oh yes again, fabulous to hear who was first to market with this breaking story but how will this translate to increased sales of the issue? Anyone? Anyone at all?
