Women in Media National Conference 2025 full program drops, featuring Claudia Karvan, Hannah Ferguson, Aimee Buchanan and more

The Women in Media National Conference returns to Sydney on 15 August with a powerhouse lineup and sessions on power, PR, AI, and the future of media.

Claudia Karvan, Hannah Ferguson, Bridget Brennan, Aimee Buchanan and more lead a bold, agenda-setting lineup as the Women in Media National Conference returns to Sydney on Friday, 15 August – with sessions that go there on power, PR, AI, and the future of media – and a community dedicated to supporting women in media to thrive in their chosen paths and careers.

This one-day event brings together Australia’s most influential voices across journalism, production, comms, politics, tech, PR, publishing and the screen sector – live at ICC Sydney.

Just some of the headliners include:

Claudia Karvan OAM – Award-winning actor, writer and producer and one of the country’s most enduring talents whose work has been recognised with multiple Logies and an Order of Australia.

Hanna Rosin – Podcasting pioneer, author of The End of Men and one of US journalism’s most distinctive voices – heard on We Live Here Now, Radio Atlantic and NPR’s groundbreaking audio series Invisibilia.

Shankari Chandran – Miles Franklin Award-winning novelist of Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens and Song of the Sun God, which are both being adapted to screen.

Hannah Ferguson – Gen Z magnet and CEO of Cheek Media who committed to running for Parliament in her recent National Press Club address.
