Women’s gym Fernwood releases health podcast, Georgie Tunny named as host

Fernwood Fitness has released a health podcast for women, “Fernwood Unfiltered”. Journalist Georgie Tunny hosts it.
The announcement:
Fernwood Fitness is extending beyond the gym floor and introducing Fernwood Unfiltered, a podcast hosted by renowned Australian journalist and TV presenter Georgie Tunny. Launching on 23 September 2025, Fernwood Unfiltered is intended to give women honest, evidence-based answers in a space often dominated by myths and conflicting advice.
The podcast will share insights from experts in women’s health, covering a range of topics, including fertility, gut health, perimenopause and thriving later in life. It aims to provide women of all ages with guidance and confidence to take charge of their health and make decisions that truly serve them.
Each 45-minute episode combines expert knowledge and empowering conversations, incorporating real and relatable stories. Designed for busy women, the podcast fits seamlessly into commutes, workouts, or moments of downtime.
“Women deserve credible, compassionate guidance, not the fads and misinformation that have dominated for too long,” says Kathleen Looney, national marketing manager at Fernwood Fitness. “We’ve brought together some of the best minds in women’s health, who share our holistic view that wellbeing isn’t one-dimensional. We couldn’t be more excited to share this with women everywhere.”
“Being part of Fernwood Unfiltered has been such a privilege,” says Georgie Tunny. “These are the conversations we don’t have often enough, and I’m proud to be part of a platform that’s putting them front and centre. Every episode has left me inspired, and I know listeners will feel the same.”
With a career spanning television and podcasting, including her co-hosting role on Two Good Sports, Georgie’s natural ability to connect with women of all ages makes her the perfect host.
“As Australia’s experts in women’s health and fitness, we’ve always been more than just a gym. We’re a community and a trusted source of support,” adds Looney. “We can’t wait for women to listen in, learn, and most importantly, feel seen.”
