Women-focused insurance provider, Stella, is partnering with Assurant to better deliver bespoke insurance solutions for women.

The announcement:

Stella, insurance that’s unapologetically for women, is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Assurant, a global leader in insurance solutions. This collaboration aims to redefine automotive cover with a focus on delivering tailored insurance solutions specifically for women and marks a new automotive partnership era for Stella.

Empowering Women Through Purpose-Driven Insurance

Stella Insurance, founded by Sam White, is unapologetically for women. As a purpose-driven brand, Stella is committed to humanising insurance and empowering customers by providing solutions that cater to women’s unique needs. This partnership with Assurant aligns perfectly with Stella’s mission to challenge the status quo and champion equality within the insurance industry.

After listening to what women of Australia want, Stella designed flexible and competitive insurance products to help them cover what matters to them most, and created a simplified, easy and intuitive experience for them.

Purpose driven, Stella’s commitment to equality for women stands out as an insurance brand with an intent to do good. Stella has already raised over $150k to help women and children escape domestic violence in Australia, with an ongoing commitment to give $5 from every new car insurance policy going to the Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre to further this cause.

A Partnership Built on Shared Values and Innovation

Assurant’s global footprint and expertise in technology and innovation make them the ideal partner for Stella as they expand their award-winning car insurance offerings. This collaboration will enable Stella to scale new heights and achieve their ambitious goal of reaching $500 million over the next five years.

Sam White, CEO of Stella Insurance, commented:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Assurant. Commercially, their global footprint supports our ambitions. They offer complementary product suites, and their focus on tech and innovation makes them an ideal partner for Stella moving forward. More importantly, we have found the cultural fit between the two businesses to be totally aligned. We are excited to see where the partnership can take us both.”

Hemaka Perera, president, APAC at Assurant, commented:

“We are excited to offer innovative products and best-in-class customer experiences to the Australian motorists. As a leader in automotive protection solutions with over 20 years’ experience in the local market, our collaboration with Stella reaffirms our commitment to expand our automotive footprint in Australia and the region and introduce a new suite of products and services such as Assurant EV OneSM.”
