Woolworths supports OzHarvest with Christmas donation drive

Woolworths has teamed up with food rescue charity OzHarvest again this year as part of its campaign to feed Australians in need.

Woolworths OzHarvest campaign

The ‘Christmas Table for Good’ campaign aims to raise $1m by encouraging customers to buy a $2 token and place it on the Christmas Table for Good in each store.

Each donation can be personalised and will remain in store until Christmas.

Ronni Kahn, CEO and founder at OzHarvest, hopes the campaign will help Australian families who will not be fed “nourishing meals” this Christmas.

“Thanks to our partnership with Woolworths and the generosity of its customers, we can continue our important work and provide an additional two million meals to support people in need,” Kahn said.

Brad Banducci, CEO at Woolworths, said the company hopes to raise more than last year’s campaign, which achieved donations worth $600,000.

“For just $2 our customers can help put four meals on the table to feed Australians in need, making a little bit go a long way,” said Banducci.

The campaign will run from December 5 until December 27 throughout all Woolworths stores.
