Woolworths head of corporate affairs Jennifer James made redundant

Supermarket giant Woolworths has made its head of corporate affairs, Jennifer James, redundant after less than six months in the role.

James was appointed to the role in October 2016 after relocating from Hong Kong where she was head of corporate affairs at PepsiCo Asia Pacific.

In an article published in The Australian, it was revealed James’ role will now be divided up with the new head of public relations, community and sponsorship at Woolworths – Peter O’Sullivan – set to take on more senior responsibility.

O’Sullivan joined Woolworths from PR agency PPR in August last year.

Woolworths is also on the hunt for a new public relations agency after the supermarket giant pitched the account earlier this month.

Woolworths has been approached for comment.
