Wotif asks Australians to find the next big tourist attraction
Online travel site Wotif has asked Australians what ‘The Next Big Thing’ is to create a new Australian icon to match the Big Banana and the Big Pineapple.
The PR-driven campaign created by Ogilvy and Opr, asks Australians to vote on what they think the next big Australian landmark should be, Wotif will then release a shortlist out of the thousands of suggestions and eventually the public will vote on Australia’s new landmark.
The campaign is part of Wotif’s 18th birthday celebrations.
Interesting how Wotif is claiming to be “Australian for Travel” when they are owned by Expedia and funnel money off-shore to the USA with every booking?
