WPP Australia & New Zealand appoints interim CFO as Lukas Aviani steps down

WPP Australia and New Zealand’s long standing chief financial officer Lukas Aviani is stepping down from the company less than a year after he helped to shepherd through its transition from being majority owned by STW Group.

lukas-avianiAviani has been at the financial helm of the company formerly known as STW Group for a decade, with an announcement to the ASX stating he is leaving for health reasons.

Company secretary and Australia and New Zealand finance director Chris Rollinson will step into the role on an interim basis.

In an interenal note to WPP staff CEO Mike Connaghan said Aviani had decided to settle into a life of farming and focus on his recovery.

In the statement to the ASX Connaghan said the Aviani had been a key part of the STW and WPP team.

“His experience and hard work over the past 10 years has been invaluable,” Connaghan said.

“On behalf of the board and management team, I wish him all the best during this difficut time.”

He said that Rollinson had been a vital cog in the expansion of the business over the past 13 years and was the right man to take on the lead financial role in the short term.

WPP has launched an executive search for a full-time replacement looking at both internal and external candidates.
