WSFM locks in Jonesy & Amanda for an additional three years

ARN has renewed the contracts of its WSFM Sydney breakfast hosts, Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller, for an additional three years.

The duo, who have worked together on WSFM for the past 12 years, tied with Nova96.9’s Sydney hosts, Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, in the fourth radio ratings survey this year.

The duo have worked together for the last twelve years

Jonesy and Amanda started the year with a loss of 1.4 share points, pushing them into third place at 7.3%. The show then fell 0.6 share points to 6.7% in survey two.

During the year WSFM’s Sydney breakfast show recovered, up 0.4 ratings points for survey three and in survey four tied with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa, with an audience share of 7.8%.

The duo said they were excited to lock in an additional three years: “We couldn’t be happier to be staying with WSFM. Jonesy and I have so much fun together every morning and we have an incredible audience who join us every day for the ride,” Keller said.

Jones added: “Time flies when you are having fun, I am excited Amanda and I are going to be notching up another three years at WSFM.”

ARN’s national content director, Duncan Campbell said the “chemistry” and “quick wit” between the pair made the show unique and entertaining.

“Very few radio shows have enjoyed the success of Jonesy and Amanda and having them on WSFM Breakfast for another three years is fantastic,” Campbell said.

“Not only are they great to work with, they have the one ingredient that you can’t manufacture or buy and that’s chemistry.”

Rob Atkinson, chief executive of ARN said the breakfast show have been an important part of the network’s success for the last decade.

“Investment in people and great talent, in all areas of the company, has always been key to ARN’s continued growth and strong commercial offerings,” Atkinson said.

“For more than a decade Jonesy and Amanda have been a very important part of ARN’s success, and I am very pleased they will be with us for another three years.”
