Wunderman Thompson appoints Sydney partner Neil Kelly as it looks to further its tech and CX capabilities

Wunderman Thompson has appointed Neil Kelly to the newly created role of Sydney partner.

Kelly joins from Publicis Sapient where he was a client partner working across commerce, content, data and experience transformation. Previously, he was a senior manager of product and business strategy at Deloitte Digital in London and Melbourne.

Neil Kelly will bolster the agency’s data, tech and CX capabilities

Kelly’s experience will bolster the agency as it continues to grow its data, technology and customer experience capabilities.

Kelly said of his appointment: “I’m delighted to be joining Wunderman Thompson at a pivotal point in the evolution of the business. I’m excited to take what is a really compelling data and experience proposition to clients; helping them to transform and grow their businesses in APAC.”

John Gutteridge, CEO of Wunderman Thompson ANZ, said: “I’m very excited to be welcoming Neil to the Wunderman Thompson business. His consultative experience and excellent track record of leading product, tech and strategy teams to drive business growth for clients is very much in our sweet spot.”

Wunderman Thompson is the result of the merger between JWT and Wunderman, which saw the agency position itself as a creative, data, commerce, consulting and technology agency. Gutteridge became the CEO of the new agency in March.

Last month, Wunderman Thompson won a three-year contract for the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety and a project for Meat and Livestock Australia to rework its shopper experience.
