Wunderman Thompson promotes Suzanne Sarkis to Melbourne partner

Wunderman Thompson has promoted Suzanne Sarkis to the role of Melbourne partner.

Sarkis joined Wunderman in 2017, prior to its merger with JWT, as head of CRM and marketing automation. She will take up her new position in December after returning from maternity leave.

Sarkis has been promoted from head of CRM and marketing automation to Melbourne partner.

Previously, Sarkis was at Herbert Smith Freehills, where she started out as an online manager, and was later promoted to social and digital marketing manager, and finally global head of digital.

Sarkis’ new role will see her join the Melbourne leadership team of Nick Muncaster, partner, and Michael Godwin, managing partner.

Sarkis said of her appointment: “Client demands have shifted in the past year. We’ve seen significant increases in the demand for our CRM and marketing automation capability as CMOs and business leaders see the impact that data and personalisation has on their bottom line. As Partner, my experience in data marketing will help drive the Wunderman Thompson ethos and deliver real value to our clients and people.”

John Gutteridge, CEO of Wunderman Thompson ANZ, credited Sarkis with growing the agency’s digital capabilities.

“Suzanne has successfully led the growth of Wunderman Thompson’s CRM and marketing automation capability nationally, with clients including Victorian Government, Viva Energy, Adidas and Transurban. She has done an outstanding job in leading the CRM and MA practice and has ultimately helped lead many clients to significant growth. We can’t wait for her to return and have a more holistic influence across the business as a Partner in Melbourne,” Gutteridge said.

Earlier this month, Wunderman Thompson appointed Neil Kelly as Sydney partner.

In October, the agency picked up a contract with Meat and Livestock Australia to overhaul its customer experience. Wunderman Thompson also won a three year contract for the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety.
