Australian agencies have made up more than a third of shortlisted entries at the 2013 Festival of Media Asia, a regional media awards show set to take place in Singapore in early March.
Of 117 campaigns from 10 countries to make the shortlist, 43 (37%) were from Australia, with Starcom the country’s most shortlisted media agency network with 14 contenders for clients including Channel Ten, Virgin Mobile and Twix.
UM Australia had 13 finalists, plus one entry from sister Mediabrands search agency Reprise Media. Ikon Communications had six. Zenith Optimedia and OMD both had two.
GroupM’s MEC and Mindshare managed just a single shortlisted entry each, as did independent players Match Media and Razor.
Last year, UM was named network of the year at the event.
