X Factor audience hits new low, dragging Secret Daughter audience with it
Seven saw its audience for The X Factor drop to a new low of just over 600,000 viewers last night, dragging down the audience for local drama The Secret Daughter at the same time.
The X Factor managed just 603,000 viewers for its live elimination in the 7:30pm slot according to OzTAM overnight metro ratings, down on the 676,000 who tuned in on Sunday night.
That saw The Secret Daughter drop from 836,000 last week to 694,000 this week, although it still topped the 8:40pm slot with Nine’s drama Hyde & Seek dropping to 576,000 viewers and Have You Been Paying Attention on Ten dropping 200,000 viewers on last week to 576,000 viewers.
Have You Been Paying Attention? was hampered by a lack of strong lead-in with Ten showing a repeat of All Star Family Feud at 7:30pm which managed just 344,000 viewers, although managed second spot in all the key demographics.
While The Block was the most watched non-news show of the night it failed to break the million barrier with 918,000 viewers at 7:30pm, although it topped all the demographics and was enough to give Nine the primary channel share win for the night.
Seven News was the top rating program of the night with 1.008m at 6:30pm and 1m, flat, at 6:00pm, while Nine News languished on 890,000 at 6:00pm and 885,000 at 6:30pm.
Ten could muster only a primary channel share of 10.9% behind the ABC on 15.5%. Nine had 19.8% ahead of Seven on 18.7%.
Channel 7 shd be really worried abt the ratings for xfactor at a time when it shd be climbing. It’s the Iggy factor
