YMCA Victoria appoints Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as creative agency

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has won the creative account for the YMCA Victoria, following a pitch process earlier this year.

Prior to Clemenger’s appointment, YMCA Victoria did not have a creative agency on record, however was most recently held by McCann Melbourne.

YMCA Victoria executive manager, brand, communications and  digital, Julie Cullen, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with the Clemenger BBDO Melbourne team to support and inspire our organisation as we look to set the foundation for the Y’s next 175 years of supporting our youth.”

The YMCA’s national operations went through a rebranding process last year, now known as The Y. Zenith was also appointed as media agency of record at the time.

The YMCA owns and runs a range of services in support of young people across Victoria, including camps, community recreation and sporting facilities, swimming pools, childcare and early education, out of school hours care, youth services and youth justice facilities.

The Y says it has “been operating in Victoria since 1853 through a community of over 6,500 staff and volunteers working to deliver services at more than 150 locations every day”.

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne CEO, Jim Gall, said: “The Y is an incredible organisation that does so much for the community, and it’s a huge honour to be able to support the team as it prepares and builds for the future.”

Clemenger said that following the appointment, creative work between the two will now be in the pipeline.
