Young Henrys partners with Fitzroy Football Club

Popular brewer and distillery Young Henrys has partnered with Fitzroy Football Club, supporting its field men’s and women’s teams.

The announcement:

Hold on to your pint glasses and round up your Sherrins, because today Newtown brewers and distillers Young Henrys, announce a partnership with Fitzroy Football Club (FFC), bringing together two iconic institutions in celebration of community, camaraderie, quality brews and great football.

Celebrating 140 years of Fitzroy Football Club, Young Henrys couldn’t be prouder to support the Roys field men’s and women’s teams in the largest community football competition in the country. Adored for their vibrant community spirit, inclusivity and rich history within the wider Fitzroy community, the partnership with Young Henrys felt natural and harmonious with the club being in the heartland of YH’s ever-growing Melbourne fanbase.

“The Young Henrys story resonates with us at Fitzroy with their strong community focus and our shared understanding of the power of business, sport and community coming together to create inclusive, supportive and celebratory spaces in our community. We know we’ll be able to achieve great things on and off the field through this exciting and collaborative partnership,” said David Leydon, president of Fitzroy Football Club.

“It was a no-brainer for us to align with a club that is in the heartland of our Melbourne fanbase, most likely due to Fitzroy and Newtown, our brewery’s home, sharing very similar personalities. Young Henrys has been tied to this area for a relatively short period of time compared to the footy club but this partnership goes a long way towards ensuring we both continue to embrace and embody what it means to be part of the Fitzroy community. The iconic colours and imagery adorn the backbars of most pubs where our beer proudly flows, creating fresh history and experiences for those who live and visit this amazing part of the country. See you at the game…” said Dan Hampton, Young Henrys director.

With a shared dedication to champion the people, supporters, community sports and quality brews, Young Henrys and Fitzroy Football Club have seen it all. Holding a special place in the hearts of fans, players, and the local community, fans can often find their beers flowing in local pubs where Roys supporters gather to celebrate their team.

With both legends leaving a colourful mark on their own city’s history (and beyond), this collaboration promises to be a winning combination, with Young Henrys’ rebellious brews and Fitzroy’s unwavering spirit creating an unforgettable experience for fans and supporters alike.
