Yvette Mayer set to depart OMD Sydney as MD to focus on essential oil business

Yvette Mayer, OMD Sydney’s managing director, is set to depart the agency at the end of the year to focus on her essential oil business.

Mayer, who joined the agency in 2017 after returning to Australia from her four year stint in the US, has been at the helm of OMD Sydney for almost two years.

OMD’s Yvetter Mayer is leaving to pursue her health and wellbeing passion

Prior to returning to Australia she was with media agency Starcom for 17 years.

During her time at Starcom she held positions including digital director, genesis director, chief digital officer, SVP global digital director, SVP group director and executive VP group director.

A spokesperson from OMD Australia confirmed Mayer’s departure and said the agency doesn’t have any further announcements in relation to her replacement.

Mayer’s departure comes one year after the agency’s Melbourne managing director, Margie Reid, departed after 11 years to take on a new role as Thinkerbell’s managing director.

The agency later announced UM Worldwide’s Dianne Richardson as her replacement.

OMD’s clients include Qantas, Coles, Beiersdorf, Simplot and eHarmony.
