1.8m watch Underbelly exit Nine; 500,000 watch England exit World Cup; 248,000 watch Webber exit the track

The third series of Underbelly bowed out on Sunday with an evening-winning 1.8m audience for Nine.

It took the network to a comfortable win for the day, while Seven’s Dancing With The Stars debuted with 1.4m viewers, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

Meanwhile, England’s 4-1 trouncing by Germany brought in 503,000 viewers for SBS1, despite running in the east after midnight. In Perth, where the live match played at a slightly more reasonable hour, it was 13th most watched program of the day.

Ten’s sports digital channel One also saw a relatively strong performance of 248,000 for the dramatic European Grand Prix in which Australian Mark Webber was lucky to escape unscathed from one of the most spectacular crashes the sport has seen.
