Rowan Dean: I turned down Labor campaign job
Former Euro RSCG executive creative director Rowan Dean has revealed that he declined the opportunity to work on Labor’s advertising team in the run up to the election campaign.
In a column in the AFR today, the Gruen Planet regular revealed that he was approached late last year with the “bizarre” offer despite his criticisms of the party.
He wrote: “The next day I sent a polite text message declining the offer. But watching Team Rudd’s ads over the past few weeks, I thinking that perhaps I shouldn’t have.”
Mumbrella reported back in May that creative Dee Madigan had joined the Labor team.
so what?

Is it common for ad people to talk about offers they’ve declined? Or is it fair game because its political?

Note to self. This guy refuses work then disses the people who take the work he knocks back. Classy.

Rowan is well known in advertising, media & political circles to be further to the right than Ghengis Khan. Methinks he is a mischief making…..

The Labor ads appear to be: “Look we know we’re a disaster but a vote for Abbott is a vote for Satan himself and, if elected, the country will be consumed by hell’s fire and we’ll all burn in the fiery pits for time evermore….”
