2009 looks good for Ten and Seven at ratings halfway point
Both Nine and Ten have claimed victories as the TV ratings year reaches its halfway point.
The weekend saw both networks issue report cards on their performance to date.
Shared across the three main networks (including their digital spin-offs), in total viewers Seven has 36.0% share of primetime , exactly the same as last year; Nine has 33.6% (down from 35.6% last year) and Ten has 30.3% (up from 28.4% last year).
Ten has never got above 30% in a full year.
Whatever Mumbrella. Channel 9 is playing an obnoxious game. With their rip off of “Australia’s top Minichef” and their silly ads for news “We were there first, Channel 7- late again”, they leave a whiff of distaste in the air.
