303 MullenLowe Sydney announces leadership changes

Attivo Group’s 303 MullenLowe Sydney has today announced a new leadership structure, with a senior promotion and hire aiming to support its growing number of opportunities.

The agency has promoted managing director Joanna Grey to Sydney CEO, and appointed comms industry leader Karen Coleman to Sydney MD.

Coleman and Gray

Gray has spent nearly six years at the agency as its managing director. She joined in 2018, after spending time at Ogilvy, The Works, Host Sydney and Publicis Groupe, among other organisations.

She will continue to drive new business growth for 303 MullenLowe Sydney, and remain developing the agency’s newly formed specialisations such as 303 Health.

Attivo’s CEO, Cam Murchison, said: “Jo not only appreciates the power of creativity to solve business challenges, she brings real strength in building collaborative teams across our other agencies and businesses to provide holistic solutions and genuine value to our clients.”

Gray said the agency is thrilled to bring Coleman on board.

“We’re excited about this partnership. Karen has the proven business leadership to really drive new opportunities in this role – particularly through her significant tech category experience and supercharged, of course, by her trademark energy and smarts,” she said.

Coleman joins from Archetype Australia, where she spent four years as managing director. During her time there, she diversified Archetype’s offerings, transitioning from a purely PR consultancy to a fully integrated marketing agency.

Her prior experience also includes nearly a decade at Bite Communications and Text100, where she worked in Bite’s account management, before moving up to general manager. In 2014, under her leadership Bite merged with Text100, where she then spent four years as MD.

“Through a particularly harmonious end-to-end capability, 303 MullenLowe has developed a culture of delivering disproportionate outcomes to its clients over the years – something we like to call ‘creating unfair advantage’,” said Coleman.

“It’s the perfect response to the high-level consulting that clients are demanding these days. Especially as we continue to navigate significant economic challenges.

“I’m looking forward to partnering with Jo and the entire 303 MullenLowe leadership team to both continue and evolve this story.”

Gray and Coleman will worked closely with 303 MullenLowe Perth’s managing director, René Migliore, while also continuing to collaborate across Attivo’s other agencies in ANZ and the US.
