72 and Sunny appoints Ross Berthinussen as president to lead Sydney office

72 and Sunny Sydney has promoted Ross Berthinussen to the role of president, to lead the office.

Berthinussen has been executive strategy director in Sydney for the past three years, and in his new role will guide the agency’s vision and growth, continuing to work closely with head of product, Luke Martin.

On his promotion, Berthinussen said: “It’s been a privilege helping to build such an awesome team, culture and client partner base. We feel we’re just getting started in shaping what a modern creative company and 72 and Sunny can be in this part of the world.”

Berthinussen’s almost two decades of experience includes overseas roles at Grey London and a lengthy spell at BBH London before emigrating to Australia seven years ago, taking up the role of head of strategy at M&C Saatchi Sydney, joining 72 and Sunny in 2018.

72 and Sunny global CEO, Evin Shutt said: “Ross is a proven leader – helping build 72 and Sunny Sydney for the last few years and partnering with all of our clients for incredible impact.”

Berthinussen’s role will continue to see him working closely with fellow regional leads including  president of 72 and Sunny Singapore Isa Siow, and Johnny Tan, APAC executive creative director.

The agency also added to its creative capabilities in April, with the appointment of creative duo, Anthony Camapagna and Jari Kennedy.

72 and Sunny’s current client list includes Google Pixel, Nest and Brand; Lion Nathan (which includes Byron Bay, Kosciusko, Tooheys Extra Dry, Little Creatures, Panhead);Golden Circle and F Whitlock & Sons with Kraft Heinz; Milklab and Australia’s Own from Freedom Foods, Chubb Insurance, Paspaley, Sendle, Amaysim and Fry’s Family Foods.
