Virgin Blue’s current campaign on smh.com.au is proving to be the gift that keeps on giving.
After the weekend’s marvellous link between trips to Hamilton Island and Alcatraz-like accommodation comes this contribution:
This is the only ‘incident’ to happen to Virgin for nearly 2 years… Qantas has one weekly…. clearly traffic directors @ smh aren’t using smart ads… Qantas should have purchased this…Or Virgin were smart enough to buy all their ads 🙂

I personally feel that the SMH is quite sensationalist about aviation ‘disaster’ reporting but that doesn’t stop this sort of thing being funny. Key word targeting is messy at the best of times but I am very confident that Virgin will get ‘make goods’ on this and as webtren suggests better that this is a Virgin ad than a Qantas one.
