942,000 metro viewers tune in for Katy Perry’s turn as a judge on Masterchef
International pop star Katy Perry brought 942,000 metro viewers to Masterchef Australia on Thursday night as she took a spin as a guest judge on the reality cooking show.
1.266m national viewers watched the highly-publicized special episode on Ten and the program topped all three of the key advertising demographics – 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s.

The Masterclass following the episode delivered 537,000 metro viewers and 708,000 nationally.
Comparatively, in the 7.30pm timeslot on Nine 454,000 metro viewers tuned in for RBT and Seven’s Home and Away brought in 562,000.
The most-watched program of the night was Seven News with 1.189m metro viewers, followed by 1.076m for Nine News. ABC News drew 834,000 metro viewers. Nationally, 1.871m watched Seven News, 1.421m Nine News and 1.192m ABC News.
Despite Ten’s success from 7.30pm, it was Nine that won the night, securing a 25.8% network audience share. Seven held 25.5%, Ten 24.6% and ABC 14.5%. But the ranking changed in the channels with Seven taking the lead on 18.2%, followed by Ten’s 17.7%, Nine’s 16.8% and ABC’s 10.0%. The most-watched multi-channel was 10 Bold with 4.5%.
