‘A little support makes a big difference’ says Dementia Australia in new ad

Dementia Australia has launched a new campaign via Campaign Edge, which launched during Dementia Action Week (20 September – 26 September).

The campaign follows the story of Gwen and Jack, who has dementia.

The 30-second spot details how Jack is continuing to live his life, with support from Gwen, who attaches metal lizards to their front door so he can make his way home.

Campaign Edge executive creative director and regular Gruen panelist, Dee Madigan, said: “Many Australians mistakenly believe people living with dementia can’t live rich and fulfilling lives after a diagnosis. That is an ingrained myth we are trying to change.”

The lives of diverse groups of Australians were showcased in the campaign, as well as the stories of carers to show support for them as well.

The campaign was on broadcast TV, BVOD, digital display and social.
