A win for Seven: The Chase takes entertainment crown 2 nights in a row

Seven’s The Chase Australia has taken out the top spot for overall entertainment on Thursday night with 533,000 metro viewers, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win. 

Next up in entertainment was Foreign Correspondent on ABC, bringing in 471,000 metro viewers, followed by MasterChef on Ten with 463,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 26 May Seven News topped the list with 1.559 million Total TV viewers, including 38,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was MasterChef on Ten, with an uplift of 25%, viewed by a total of 870,000 national viewers.

Next in entertainment on Thursday was Nine’s Hot Seat, with 455,000, while an episode of Home and Away on Seven had an average metro audience of 432,000, followed by a late episode of Home and Away pulling in 396,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 947,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 873,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 831,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 800,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 670,000 metro viewers and Nine’s A Current Affair had 566,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 536,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned above, Seven won overall share for the evening with 31%, followed by Nine with a network share of 24.5%. Next was the ABC, with a share of 18%, while Ten finished with 18.3% share.
