Abbie Chatfield still in vogue at Hit Network, returning as host of RNB Fridays concert series

Abbie Chatfield sensationally quit her Hit Network radio show Hot Nights earlier this month, but she clearly remains a central pillar of Southern Cross Austereo’s public profile, having signed up to again host RNB Fridays presents: Fridayz Live.

The national live concert series will again be co-produced by SCA’s Hit Network, along with Mushroom Group companies MG Live, Illusive Presents, and Frontier Touring.

They’ve managed to pull together some massive names for the series, with the likes of Kelly Rowland, Boyz II Men, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, JoJo, and DJ Kay Gee from Naughty by Nature appearing across the country. Chatfield – who still presents her popular podcast It’s A Lot on SCA’s LiSTNR app – will host alongside Fatman Scoop.

“Fridayz Live is the biggest party of the year,” said Mushroom Group chief Matt Gudinski.

“As we enter our sixth edition, the event continues to build from strength to strength, set to deliver fans an amazing live experience. The 2023 lineup is one of our best yet and we can’t wait for crowds to see what we have in store for them this November.”

Head of metro content at Hit Network, Amanda Lee, said: “We are so excited to partner with the Mushroom Group once again to present Fridayz Live.

“We love giving our fans experiences they will never forget and this year will be no different, bringing some of RNB’s biggest names to this incredible live concert series.”

Tickets go on sale from next Tuesday, September 5, and can be won through a variety of on-air competitions. The tour starts on Friday November 10 at Rod Laver Arena, in Melbourne.
