ABC and Screen Producers Australia join together for special ‘future of media’ Q&A session

Screen QAScreen Producers Australia and the ABC will join forces for a special “future of media content” session at the Screen Forever conference on November 17.

The session will be hosted by comedian Tom Ballard and will feature an expanded panel including: Network Ten executive Russel Howcroft, Screen Australia COO Fiona Cameron, president of Trigger Street Productions Dana Brunetti, Dynamic Television executive Holly Hines, Film Victoria CEO Jenni Tosi and actress Sarah Snook, but will not be aired on the ABC.

“It’s a terrific coup for Screen Producers Australia to have one of Australia’s top programs opening the conference,” said Matthew Deaner, CEO of Screen Producers Australia. “Media is an alive topic at the moment and Q&A is the perfect forum to debate some of the most important topics affecting our industry”

Deaner added: “As always, this Q&A will be unpredictable, but we expect it to range from the future of media content, regulation and piracy, online vs broadcast, global trends, next generation media influence and the global marketplace.”

Q&A will open the Screen Producers Australia conference Screen Forever at Crown Conference Centre, Melbourne on Tuesday 17 November but will not go to air on the ABC but will rather be distributed to delegates and members at a later date.
