LinkedIn changes APAC leadership with Olivier Legrand promoted to regional MD
Business social network LinkedIn has new regional leadership in the Asia Pacific, with Hari Krishnan moving on from the company after six years ads vice president of Asia Pacific.
Moving into the role of managing director of APAC is Olivier Legrand, who moves up from senior director, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, Asia Pacific and Japan.
Krishnan has joined Property Guru as president and chief business officer, a newly created role effective 1 January 2016.
In an announcement, Legrand noted that while LinkedIn has seen much progress since launching in Asia in 2009: “there’s still a long runway for growth ahead for us.”
The move coincide with a change of public relations agencies for LinkedIn, with local Singapore-based shop Rice Communications taking on the account from network giant Edelman.
LinkedIn has been at the centre of much debate in the media world, with industry figures questioning its role alongside the trade press and its use for businesses and brands as a communications platform.
With an awesome name like that perhaps APAC Linked In can now fix their New Messaging Experience which adds up to a much reduced service including Cannot Read past Messages, Cannot See Message Replies, Cannot Pick LI Members from the left-Hand Rail, etc etc – as it’s been over 2 maybe 3 weeks now…
(With apologies for using this as a platform as I’m wondering if anyone else out there has had this dud service experience?)
