ABC2 commissions office survivors show Do Or Die
WA production house Zinc Finger Films and Sydney-based Essential Media Entertainment have won ABC2’s first factual series commission.
Do or Die will feature office workers taken from their desks and thrown into survival adventures. ScreenWest has helped fund the commission of four one hour episodes.
The team building show begins production next month and will air next year.
ABC2 Controller Stuart Menzies said: “Do or Die promises friction, deceit, gossip, rivalry, power plays, the stuff of every office. It will be compelling television with the added promise of true transformation, real jeopardy and serious adventure.”
Chris Hilton, Essential’s CEO and executive producer, said: “We’re honoured to have the first Australian factual commission from ABC2 with Do or Die.”
Defrim Isai, ScreenWest’s director of production investment said “This is a significant co-production for Western Australia and we congratulate Zinc Finger Films and Sydney-based Essential Media Entertainment on the commissioning.”
Zince Finger Films’ previous commissions have included heist telemovie Sundowner. Essential produces Rake for the ABC.
