Access PR hires Bethaney Maley to lead its new Darwin office following Charles Darwin University win

Sydney-based agency Access PR has opened an office in Darwin, following the recent win of Charles Darwin University, three years working with Tourism NT and four years with the annual Parrtjima – A Festival in Light event.

The Tourism NT public relations account is currently out for tender.

To lead the Darwin office, which the agency has hinted may have another government roster appointment on its books soon, Access PR has hired Bethaney Maley as managing director.

Maley was the acting director of corporate, community and international relations at the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre in the Northern Territory. She has previously spent over five years as a policy and communications advisor to the Henderson and Martin Governments.

Access PR CEO, Andrea Kerekes, said: “Bethaney lives and works in the Territory and completely understands how to address the unique challenges presented by the Territory’s diverse population and remoteness.

“She also has impeccable media credentials as well as her consulting skills after her years as a Sydney-based reporter and presenter for the Nine Network. We are lucky to have her.”

In 2019, Access PR won the public relations accounts for St Vincent’s Private Hospitals, Verve Super, Festival of Dangerous Ideas, Teachers Mutual Bank, Australian Payments Network and Starlight Children’s Foundation. Additionally it won the social media and content for Home World.
