ACE Radio brings back 3MP

ACE Radio, the new owners of 3MP, are bringing the channel back with an ‘Easy Music’ format.

The announcement:

An old friend of the airwaves is making a comeback tonight as 3MP returns to Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula at 6 pm; set to target a 55+ demographic with an “Easy Music” format.

New owners, ACE Radio, intend to concentrate on the Mornington Peninsula heartland of the station’s broadcast area, where it’s 1377 AM signal is crystal clear.

Easy Music 3MP will also be available on DAB+ across Melbourne, as well as through iHeart Radio and RadioApp.

Local Mornington Peninsula advertisers have warmly welcomed the station’s return and Mark Taylor, ACE Radio’s CEO, is likewise excited about the launch. “Our staff have been working day and night to get the station ready and we are proud of the product they have created. I have been listening to the test program for a week and can’t turn it off!”

Veteran ACE Radio announcer, Emily Canning, will kick things off tonight after the 6 pm news, easing Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula into the weekend.

From Monday, the 6th of July, the weekday line up will follow:
5.30 am – 9 am – The Easy Breakfast with Jon and Julie (Jon Vertigan and Julie Strini)
9 am – 3 pm – Emily Canning
3 pm – 9 pm – Cathy Jubb
9 pm – 1 am – Dave Drinkell
1 am – 5.30 am – Easy music overnight

ACE Radio is proud to restore the 3MP name to the 1377 frequency with a new and improved easy listening format.
