Ad Wrap: Metro reveals Team Dumb; McDonald’s Chocolate Pie; Bonds 40% off sale; Aldi goes retro

Metro Victoria introduces the Dumb Team in its latest spot. The head of dumb ideas, CEO of dumb, dumb IP lawyers and the head of digital ways to die, stand in front of the audience before the head of digital ways to die falls out the window after tripping over his suitcase.

MacDonald’s latest spot for ‘More Bang for your buck’,  advertises the return of its winter loose change menu featuring the Chocolate Pie, oozing chocolate custard in a pastry pie. The spot features classical operatic music for dramatic effect as the pie separates to reveal chocolate melting onto the plate.

Bonds is publicising its 40% off sale both in-store and online featuring four young women in a line handling as many clothes as they can, to convey the rush of a sale.

Aldi is advertising its sour cream and lite sour cream in a new campaign based on the format of an old-school video game. The ad features a horse which jumps over a series of question mark obstacles before a voiceover reveals the items’ prices.

Energy Australia has brought back the owl from previous campaigns, to show customers how they can save money on energy bills. The ad is an extension of last year’s campaign via Leo Burnett that urged consumers to make a ‘wise call.’

ANZ’s advertisement is the latest in a series featuring ambassador Novak Djokovic talking about how energy and love from his family life assists him with tennis, with excerpts from his day to day life and conversations with his wife.
