Ad Wrap: Optus’ YesTV by Fetch, Qantas targets business owners, Aldi prepares for ski season

Mumbrella looks over some of the latest campaigns to hit our screens.

Optus is promoting YesTV by Fetch with three spots, asking ‘You want powerful women?’, ‘You want explosions?’ and ‘You want bad guys?’ It answers ‘Yes!’ to each question.

Qantas is pushing its Aquire frequent flyer loyalty scheme targeted towards business rewards. The spots show Australians walking along a travelator, with a voiceover listing the types of rewards business owners are eligible for.

Aldi is publicising its ski gear sale. The narrator asks “Ever feel like there’s a hydrophilic-finish adult thermal underwear-shaped hole in your life?” before listing the prices of thermals, ski boots, pants and jackets on special.

Bankwest has unveiled a new advertisement showing the journey of ordinary Australians as they work towards their goals. The ad ends with the narrator saying “Here’s to those who are on their way, from those who are there to make the road a little smoother.”

Compare the Market’s latest spot sees Sergei falling frozen from an air vent after searching for the bathroom for two days. The spot encourages consumers to find a better deal on their electricity and gas, a feat easier achieved than Sergei’s search for the bathroom.
