Adam Fischer announced as consumer sales manager for Ziff Davis men’s lifestyle sites

The publisher of men’s websites IGN and AskMen, Ziff Davis Australia has appointed Adam Fischer to the newly created position of consumer sales manager.

The announcement: 

Ziff Davis Australia – publisher of the country’s leading men’s websites IGN and AskMen, has announced the appointment of Adam Fischer to the newly created position of Consumer Sales Manager.

With a raft of new recruits recently announced, Adam’s appointment completes the sales team – who are responsible for driving the commercial growth of Ziff Davis’ owned and operated brands in Australia and New Zealand.  Reporting to General Manager, James Whitehead, Adam will head up local commercial, event sponsorships and new business opportunities in the market, with a brief to grow IGN and AskMen’s portfolio of consumer clients.  The brands have successfully completed consumer campaigns with clients including Unilever, Hyundai and Pernod-Ricard.

Adam Fischer’s considerable background in media sales sees him join Ziff Davis Australia from his previous role as agency business manager for Bauer Media Group, working across its men’s lifestyle brands.  Adam had previously held commercial roles at Fairfax and APN.

He joins Ziff Davis Australia at an exciting time for the media group as AskMen readies an ambitious reimagining of its site build in HTML5 for launch later this month.  With a complete overhaul of the look and feel – the site focuses on premium one-advertiser per page, native advertising and responsive design. The company’s games and entertainment site IGN.com is also gearing up for the eagerly anticipated launch of next-generation consoles from Microsoft and Sony.
