RhythmOne MD Adam Furness departs

RhythmOne’s APAC boss Adam Furness is leaving the company just five months after being promoted to lead the business following the acquisition of RadiumOne.

Furness has resigned from his role at RhythmOne

Furness took the top slot leading the programatic firm’s regional operation following the departure of Kerry McCabe after RadiumOne’s sale to RhythmOne.

In a statement to Mumbrella, Furness said: “It’s been an amazing four years, the business is in great shape and next step leaders are in place. The time is right. My boss and the RhythmOne executive have been fantastic…I’ll work through a transition and commence in a new, exciting opportunity early in the NY.”

Furness was expected to be relocating from Sydney to Singapore to oversee the company’s expansion into Singapore.

Speaking to Mumbrella Asia at the time, Furness said: “For now the focus is to get the integration between the two businesses right and then think about how we can, particularly from an APAC perspective, build our presence here and particularly ensure that we have a truly localised offering.”

RadiumOne hired Furness in 2014 as its director of enterprise platform sales. Tenmonths later Furness was promoted to the role of managing director for both Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining the ad tech company, Furness was the director of sales for Southern Cross Austereo for nearly two years.

Furness is also a founding board member at industry foundation UnLtd and he is also a board member and investor in podcast plaform Whooshkaa.
