ABC picks up Adam Hills’ UK-based show
ABC1 has bought Adam Hill’s UK series called Adam Hills: The Last Leg.
Hills hosts a panel that includes regular panelists Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker and celebrity guests into the events and news that shaped the UK over the past week, in an attempt to answer matters on taboo subjects.
The eight by 30 minute episodes commissioned by Channel 4 follows a similar format from the former Spicks and Specks host’s series that ran during last year’s Paralympics. It reviewed the game’s significant moments and attempted to navigate difficult subject matter and delicate issues, with audience participation.
The show begins airing on ABC1 on Sunday February 17 at 9.45pm, before the series reverts to 9.30pm.
The show will be a mix of recorded and live studio segments with various celebrity guests.
It was announced late November that Spicks and Specks would return in 2013 but without Hills.

Good on Adam Hills. A nice bloke and funny man all rolled into one. Crack the UK and you are doing very well indeed.
He is certainly in a different league than wannabe Rove.

I saw him on the UK show on ABC Sat night. I was appalled by his performance. You give me a culture cringe. You have just set back our image 50 years. The swearing is inapprpriate. I am sure all the Poms think we are losers and ignorant thanks to you. I hope we can get you taken off TV altogether. Not Funn at all.
