Adelaide Fringe renews partnership with BankSA

Adelaide Fringe has renewed its partnership with BankSA.

In February, Adelaide Fringe announced a partnership with Pirate Life Brewing.

The announcement:

Adelaide Fringe is proud to announce its partnership with Principal Partner BankSA has been renewed with a two-year contract extension, ahead of the 2022 festival.

Since the partnership was forged in 2005, Adelaide Fringe ticket sales have more than quadrupled and the festival has grown to cement itself as the highest ticket selling multi-art form festival in Australia.

BankSA State General Manager, Consumer, Ben Owen said the longstanding relationship is as strong as ever.

“The partnership between BankSA and Adelaide Fringe is entering its 17th year and, like the Fringe itself, our collaboration continues to go from strength to strength. This partnership is an investment in the Fringe, as well as into the wider South Australian community and economy,” he said.

“We are proud that our partnership is helping to make the arts accessible and affordable for more South Australians, while also supporting the artists themselves. The Fringe is a world-class event that generates a significant lift in activity and vibrancy, while also delivering sizeable economic benefits for the state.”

Adelaide Fringe Chair Kate Costello thanked BankSA for its ongoing support and acknowledged the importance of such a successful partnership.

“Having such a positive and enduring partnership with BankSA has undoubtedly helped Adelaide Fringe become one of the largest arts festivals in the world. The stability that comes from having a Principal Partner for 16 years has made a huge difference to Adelaide Fringe and with this renewal of our partnership with BankSA, we look forward to delivering greater cultural, social and economic benefits to the state,” Ms Costello said.

Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall said the Fringe wouldn’t be the event it is without the support of BankSA.

“Adelaide Fringe is an iconic Australian event, and the support of BankSA has helped us to ensure artists, venues and audiences have magical experiences at the Adelaide Fringe each year. The Partnership plays a major role in all the positive flow-on effects from the Fringe that keep getting bigger and bigger each year.”

The 2022 Adelaide Fringe will also see the return of the BankSA supported pre-sale, when tickets go live on 1 December, exclusively to BankSA customers, and a 25 per cent discount through the BankSA Cardholder promotion. BankSA will also continue to deliver additional support directly into the pockets of artists through a range of initiatives to be announced later in the year.

2022 Adelaide Fringe will run from February 18 to March 20.
