Adelaide radio ratings: Mix 102.3 retains top overall spot, Nova steals drive

ARN’s Mix 102.3 has maintained the top spot in the Adelaide radio market, with a 12.3% overall share, while Nova 91.9 has closed in, at 12.1%.

In the first GfK metro ratings survey of 2023, Nova 91.9 had a 2 percentage point increase, placing it second in overall share. Now sitting at 12.1%, the network had the biggest upward move. SAFM and Triple M celebrated a 1 and 0.9 point increase respectively, while Nova Entertainment’s FIVEaa dropped 1.9 points to 9.2%, compared to 11.1% in the last survey.

In breakfast, FIVEaa’s David & Will continue to dominate leading with 14.2% share, despite a 2.3 point drop. Triple M, and SAFM all rose (1.7 and 1.9 points), closing the gap between them and the leader.

Nova 91.9’s new breakfast team of Jodie Oddy and Andrew Hayes had a 2.4 point increase, following Ben & Liam’s move to Melbourne.

Triple M’s Roo, Ditts & Loz followed closely, with a 1.7 point increase bringing their share to 12.9%. Likewise, Nova 91.9 rose 2.4 points, and SAFM 1.9.

ABC Adelaide with Stacey Lee and Nikolai Beilharz dropped by 1.1 in breakfast, bringing its share down to 12.5%.

In drive, Nova 91.9 has taken the crown, with a 14.6% share. The 3.1 point increase comes with news of Kate Ritchie’s departure, with Ricki-Lee Coulter as her replacement.

Competition remains between Mix 102.3’s Will & Woody and SAFM’s Carrie & Tommy for second place, with the networks holding 10.9% and 12.5% share respectively.

FIVEaa suffered the biggest drop in drive, down 2.8 points.
