Adelaide radio ratings: Triple M builds a commanding lead

Triple M has expanded its lead in the Adelaide radio market, climbing 1.7 points to grab 13.6% overall share of listeners.

Both second-placed Mix 102.3 and third-placed Nova 91.9 dropped market share this survey, with Mix down to 11.9% from 12.1%, and Nova falling from 10.7% to 10.5%.

While the last survey saw just 0.3% between the top two stations, Triple M now commands a 1.7% lead over Mix.

Triple M continues to command breakfast audiences, with Roo, Ditts & Loz holding 15.2% market share, with its closest competitors being  Breakfast with David Penberthy and Will Goodings, on Fiveaa, and Breakfast with Stacey Lee and Nikolai Beilharz, on ABC Adelaide – both shows hold 11.9% share.

Nova’s relatively new Jodie & Hayesy is the closest FM rival, on 10.5%.

In drive, Nova 91.9’s national Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel show continues to top the ratings, climbing to 13.2% from 13%, and arresting a 1.6% slide seen in the last survey period.

Triple M is quickly gaining ground, however, with The Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey & Jars moving from 11.6% to 12.9%. Likewise, Carrie and Tommy on SAFM jumped 1.4% to 11.9%. Drive is heating up.

Mix 102.3’s Will & Woody fell from second to fourth place, down from 12.4% to 11.8%.
