Adhesive retains Sony Electronics PR, content and influencer account

Following a competitive pitch, Adhesive PR has retained the PR, content and influencer account for Sony Electronics across Australia and New Zealand.

The agency has held the account for the past four years, providing public relations communications and influencer marketing across both markets during this time.

Adhesive founder and managing director, Mike Maurice, said: “Sony Electronics is one of those dream clients every agency wants to work with. They’re a known, trusted and desired brand and it’s our job to find creative ways to bring to life their many consumer product launches.”

Jamie Wong, creative marketing, events and PR manager for Sony Australia and New Zealand, said that Adhesive’s creativity shown in its pitch was a major factor in retaining the account: “We’ve always been impressed with Adhesive’s ability to deliver through-the-line integrated campaign ideas and maintain the day to day business. They continue to challenge the status quo and they’re passionate about delivering real commercial outcomes. During the tender, Adhesive pushed their creativity further for Sony Electronics with inspired ideas across both markets. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Adhesive and sharing the Sony story with new audiences.”

Maurice continued: “We pride ourselves on being tuned-in to pop culture which has helped us deliver some exceptional work for Sony Electronics so far. We’re excited to be retained as the agency of choice.”

The Sony Electronics account is a separate entity to the standalone PlayStation account, which has been held by Poem since 2018. The Sony Electronics businesses includes electronics, music, film, interactive games and telecommunications.

Adhesive is an Australian PR agency founded in Sydney in 2012. It recently won new business with f property marketplace Domain Group and HMD Global, the owner of Nokia phones.

Adhesive’s other clients include WW, TikTok, Dyson, The Iconic, Delonghi Group Australia, Singapore Tourism Board, Hootsuite, Jansz Tasmania and ThreatQuotient.
