Adshel marketing director Elvira Lodewick departs

ElviraLodewick_AdshelAdshel has seen a second senior departure in a fortnight with marketing director Elvira Lodewick resigning, just two weeks after CEO Steve McCarthy left the outdoor company.

Lodewick, who joined the street furniture company after a marketing role with Nieslen NetRatings, will leave in December.

She said in a statement: “I joined Adshel with two key objectives. Firstly to optimise the introduction of the outdoor media’s outdoor measurement system MOVE. Secondly, to apply my online media experience to innovate Adshel’s offering and overall customer experience.

“Although it’s been a tough decision to leave a fabulous team and company, it’s now time for a new challenge.”

Adshel is a joint venture between APN News & Media and Clear Channel.

Mark Thewlis, Clear Channel’s regional president for Asia Pacific, said: “Elvira has been instrumental in developing and strengthening the Adshel brand and proposition. Her strategic marketing approach, strong work ethic and commitment to the highest possible level of service and performance have made Adshel a better business.”

2011 has been an eventful one with Adshel. In June it found itself at the centre of a social media backlash after pulling down safe sex posters in Brisbane. And in August it won the Yarra Trains contract from JC Decaux.
