Steve McCarthy exits Adshel

Steve McCarthy, the CEO of outdoor firm Adshel, is leaving the company at the end of the month. Adshel has begun the search for a replacement.

An announcement from Adshel reads:

Steve McCarthy, CEO of Adshel Street Furniture Pty Ltd, has today announced that he will be leaving the company at the end of October.

“In my 11 years in the business, it has been my pleasure to work with a great group of people, have some wonderful business success, help develop the industry and have heaps of laughs along the way.”

“I would like to especially thank my Management Board for their dedication, loyalty, inspiration and support for me as the leader of the business. It has been a very rewarding time”, McCarthy said.

Mark Thewlis, Regional President Asia Pacific for Clear Channel and joint venture owner said, “Steve joined our  company when it had plenty of potential but few results. He has built a formidable team that has delivered on that potential creating one of Australia and New Zealand’s finest and most successful media companies.”

“Steve’s passion and commitment to outstanding work place culture has made Adshel a very special place to work and he will by truly missed by all and I wish him every success in his future endeavors,” Thewlis added.

Richard Herring, APN News and Media’s Group Radio and Outdoor Chief Executive and Adshel joint venture owner said, “Steve’s excellent leadership has delivered consistent growth and financial success for many years. He leaves the company well positioned to make the most of the opportunities ahead”.

The Adshel board has now commenced a search for Steve’s replacement and will make an announcement in due course.
