Adshel names Charlotte Valente as its new marketing boss

charlotte valenteOutdoor company Adshel has appointed its head of strategic integration Charlotte Valente as its new head of marketing, replacing Nicole McInnes who moved to Pandora earlier this year.

Adshel has today announced the appointment of Charlotte Valente as the company’s head of marketing responsible for leading the strategic direction of all marketing activities including brand, product, research and insights as well as client strategy and communication, with a renewed focus on campaign effectiveness and customer insight.

Prior to the appointment, Ms Valente was the company’s head of strategic integration.

In addition, Adshel has also promoted Sarah Hughes into the role of product marketing manager with two further manager positions across trade marketing and strategy to be recruited in the coming weeks.

Adshel’s chief revenue officer David Roddick said of the appointments: “Charlotte and Sarah have made a huge contribution to Adshel by bringing insight and research into the center of our Sales proposition. We already hold a reputation for delivering thought leadership to the market and these appointments are sure to see that intensify.

“Their appointments are part of Adshel’s ongoing commitment to keep the customer and the audience at the core of their product offering to clients.”

Ms Valente has over 20 years experience in Australia, the UK, France and Switzerland across marketing and sales. Prior to joining Adshel in 2013, Ms Valente was client business director at Creative Activation. She joined Creative Activation from AMP Capital where she spent four years as the company’s national brand solutions manager. Her experience also extends across companies such as Pacific Magazines, The Guardian Media Group and BBC Worldwide.

Ms Hughes has over 10 years experience in marketing roles including across outdoor media operators including APN Outdoor and Clear Channel. She joined Adshel in January 2014 as product marketing executive.

The new structure is the latest change in a strategic transformation that has seen Adshel expand beyond its traditional street furniture portfolio to include a number of market-leading digital and data products.

The appointments are effective immediately.
