Adstream has released an improved version of its Quick Print product.

The announcement:

adstream, the advertising distribution and workflow specialist, has further enhanced the ability of agencies to send print ads to publications with the release of a new and improved version of QuickPrint.

QuickPrint v5.4.1 now incorporates the introduction of Medialink, the world’s first integrated media booking distribution service that coordinates and manages booking data from multiple publishers.

Other exciting new features include:

– A plugin for Adobe InDesign CS5, which is compatible with both Mac OS and Windows (also compatible with InDesign CS3+)

– A plugin for Adobe Illustrator CS3 or CS4

– More extra checks and fixes to ensure files print as expected

– Updated faster PDF engine

– In-built soft proofing for colour using ICC profiles

The new Quickprint 5.4’s ‘job ticket list window’ provides advertisers with a direct interface to Medialink where they can automatically retrieve booking details/tickets sent by publishers. From here, the operator can choose to create layout, update layout or use the ticket.

Additionally, one or more jobs can be dragged from the job ticket list window to the QuickPrint job destination details dialogue.

Production time savings and increased integrity of data will provide both advertisers and publishers with major benefits and assist with further automating the ad delivery process.

adstream Head of Print and Online Jamie Davidson said: “These latest innovations to the QuickPrint product are part of adstream’s ongoing program of new releases and reaffirm our commitment to continually enhance the range of products and services we offer.”

QuickPrint is an application that creates and checks PDF’s from Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress and Adobe Illustrator to ensure compliance against a specific publication’s or printer’s specifications.
